In this study, the authors aimed to establish a 3D co-culture model using human induced pluripotent stem cell (iPSC)-derived cerebral organoids (COs) and glioblastoma cells from preserving the patient-specific phenotype and analyzing the growth and migration of glioblastoma. The results showed that extracellular matrix proteins significantly increased the growth and migration of glioblastoma cells within the COs, and the method for visualizing and quantifying the migrating cells was described. In addition, the co-culture model also transformed the gene expression profile of the established glioblastoma cell line into different subtypes.
