Dr. Abhijit Sampatrao Powar is a Gastro-Intestinal Surgeon, Laparoscopic Surgeon and Digestive Endoscopist. He has completed MBBS from King Edward Memorial Hospital and Seth Gordhandas Sunderdas Medical College, MS - General Surgery from B.J. Medical college and Sassoon Hospital Pune and Diploma in Minimal Access Surgery from Coimbatore. He has subsequently worked as an Assistant Professor of General Surgery in Government Medical college, Miraj. Currently, he is practicing as GI endoscopist & Surgeon at Saraswati Surgical & Gastroenterology Hospital based at Ichalkaranji ( District Kolhapur) Maharashtra, India. He also associated to various nearby Multispecialty hospitals. His main area of research interest has been in H Pylori Gastritis, DGBI, IBD, Liver diseases, Thoracic Duct Pathologies, Thyroid Diseases, Pancreatic Pathologies, GI Tuberculosis, Newer Clinical Aspects and recent trends in G.I. Endoscopy. He has published over 10 papers in National & International Peer review journals. He is on the Editorial Board of Annals Of International Clinical And Medical Case Reports, Med text E-books on Surgical Oncology and Annals of surgery Protocols. He is the peer reviewer of the Journals like World Journal of Surgical Oncology, Cancer Research and Cellular Therapeutics, Global Journal of Cancer Therapy
