IUGR child was born to a hypothyroid women at 37 weeks. The mother had TSH 20mIU/L at 32 weeks, anti TPO >1300, started on 100mcg LT4. Neonatal screening for congenital hypothyroidism was not performed. However, at 2 weeks after delivery, detailed evaluation of newborn was done. His TSH 13 at 18 days.
What would be the appropriate next step?
A.Start LT4 immediately
B.Start LT4 immediately and send samples for fT4, fT3
C.Repeat TSH after 2 weeks
D.Reassure and remeasure TSH at 3 years age.
