I want to present a recent emergency case involving a 12-year-old male who presented with symptoms of pesticide ingestion. The patient initially sought care from a non-registered medical practitioner, resulting in a delay in receiving appropriate treatment. Upon arrival at our facility at 7 pm, the patient's condition had deteriorated, leading to a referral to a higher center. Our team responded by initiating gastric lavage, administering atropine and PAM, and performing intubation for airway protection. However, I'd like to highlight the challenges faced due to the initial delay in recognizing the severity of the situation.
