A 43-year-old male presented with complaints of persistent fatigue and a lack of general sense of well-being. The patient had a personal history of hypertension, which was well-controlled with an angiotensin-converting enzyme (ACE) inhibitor. He led a sedentary lifestyle, did not consume alcohol or smoke, and had no known history of coronary heart disease or peripheral arterial disease. The patient had mild polyphagia. He reported being diagnosed with T2DM five months ago but reported poor adherence to the prescribed metformin (500 mg OD) regimen. The patient had a family history of T2DM, with his mother and elder sister both diagnosed with the condition. Kindly suggest treatment for this patient.
