A-39-years old female presented with heartburn for an hour, epigastric pain, bloating, and nausea, with history of this complaint three times a month. She also complained dry cough and sour taste in the mouth. Vital signs were in normal limits. On physical examination there were epigastric pain palpation and hypertimpanic sound on abdomen percusion. The patient was diagnosed with gastroesofageal reflux disease (GERD). She was treated with intravenous omeprazole and some advices to avoid caffeine, also acidic and spicy foods.
