A 14-month-old male was referred by the ophthalmology department after being evaluated for right periorbital swelling. This swelling was confined to the lower eyelid and had been present since 6 months of age. Medical history was only significant for an apparent life-threatening event/choking event at 6 days of age that resolved spontaneously. There was no previous history of craniofacial trauma or sinonasal disease. He was born without complication via spontaneous vaginal delivery at 37 weeks’ gestation. A multivitamin was the only current medication used. The patient was up to date on all immunizations. On physical examination, the patient’s vision was grossly normal and no erythema or discharge was noted. The decision was made to obtain a magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) of the brain and orbits with and without contrast.
