• An old lady who was 68-years old visited the clinic with her husband.
  • It was her follow up with the physician as she had an H/o of diabetes mellitus type II for almost ten years and history of hypertension.
  • Her BMI was 28.1 kg/m2 with pulse-68 bpm, Respiration-18/min and BP-128/78 mm Hg. Her current fasting blood glucose (FBG) level is 195 mg/dL, and her HbA1C level is 9.1%.
  • She had also complained of weight loss for six months.
  • She was being treated with Metformin, Pioglitazone and Lisinopril.
  • After hearing out her complaints and looking over her laboratory values, the physician intensified her therapy. The physician prescribed a GLP-1 RAs medication as an add-on.
