Although the discomfort was centred in the same place (the precordium), he also had pain on the left side of his neck and in his left shoulder. He was apyrexial, and his cardiovascular system evaluation was ordinary. An ECG with a generalised ST elevation in leads and an upright T wave is diagnostic of pericarditis</p>
