Congenital radioulnar synostosis is an uncommon forearm deformity characterized by a malformation in the proximal region of the radius and ulna. The condition arises from a failure of longitudinal segmentation, leading to the persistence of bony tissue between the proximal radius and ulna. It predominantly affects males, with bilateral occurrence in 60% of cases. A positive family history is present in 20% of cases, indicating an autosomal dominant inheritance pattern.
