Knee pain

A 55-year-old man arrives at the hospital with right knee pain that has been present for one year. The patient mentions having medial compartment knee arthritis in the past. He has tried conservative therapies, including physical therapy, cortisone injections, and oral NSAIDs, but little has changed. The patient had a medial meniscectomy eight months prior, which exacerbated the knee pain. The femoral condyle and proximal tibia exhibit substantial oedema and cystic alterations on radiographs and magnetic resonance imaging.
