A 33-year-old male was diagnosed with leukoplakia three months ago. He has a history of tobacco and alcohol use and was also diagnosed with tonsillitis during a CT scan. Two months later, he developed a swelling on the right side of his face near the cheek and ear, and a lymph node was palpable in his neck. This was diagnosed as right parotiditis, and he has been taking antibiotics and other medications for the past 14 days. What further steps should be taken in relation to this condition? What could be the clinical correlation between right parotiditis and leukoplakia? What is the recommended management and potential complications of this case?
