Mucocoele to f Appendix

A 24 yr old boy presented with history of pain in abdomen typically in right illiac fossa. Suspected appendicitis, based on USG report planned for Laparoscopic sos open Appendicectomy. Found thickened appendix with mucoid secretions inside appendix . With a small incision appendix removed out . Sent for histopathological examination came as Mucocoele of appendix . Differential diagnosis was mucinous ca of appendix, which requires further treatment if base of appendix is involved ,.i.e. Rt hemicolectomy.
