After a fall two days prior, a 64-year-old woman appears with right-hand pain. According to the patient, the distal interphalangeal (DIP) joint of the right ring finger took the brunt of the fall. She complains of pain and swelling at the DIP joint, but there is no deformity, and she can completely extend the joint. Right ring finger radiographs are taken.
