A 35-year-old lady has suffered from nasal congestion. Her nasal drainage is clear and thick, and she has it on a regular basis. Her congestion is worst in the late summer and early September, and then again in early March; she also suffers sneezing, nasal itching, and cough throughout these periods. She experienced an episode of shortness of breath with wheezing five years ago on a day when her nasal symptoms were intense, but it went away on its own and hasn't happened since. Her vision is unaffected. Oral antihistamines and nasal decongestants, both of which she uses on occasion, improve her symptoms a little.
