Rare case of amlodipine p...

A 28 year old female presented with alleged history of taking 100 tablets of amlodipine 5 mg with suicidal intention. complain of severe breathlessness, orthopnea and bipedal edema. On evaluation she had bp 70/40 mmhg Bilateral crepitations cold extremities and cxr suggestive of pulmonary edema. Patient was kept on non invasive ventilation with ionotropic support. Lasix infusion also given simultaneously injection calcium gluconate given 8 hourly. Improved well and discharged successfully after hospitalization of 10 days.
