A 50-year-old male patient presented with significant right upper quadrant discomfort that had been present for three days, had gotten worse on the day of admission, and was accompanied by nausea, anorexia, fever, and type 2 diabetes mellitus. The patient has pyrexia and had a sinus tachycardia of 113 bpm at the time of the initial assessment. All other findings were normal. The patient's right upper quadrant was noticeably painful, and Murphy's sign was positive. Leucocytosis of 17.8 x 109/L, CRP of 80 mg/L, Bilirubin of 12.4, Gamma-glutamyltransferase of 12, Alkaline Phosphatase of 69 IU/L, and Amylase of 35 were all found in the laboratory. An abdominal ultrasound was performed and suggested surgery.
