✨ Sowing Seeds of Hope: A Farmer’s CRT-P Success Story ✨ A 72-year-old farmer, battling chronic breathlessness for over 6 years, came to us with a life-altering limitation as he couldn’t walk more than 10 steps. Despite ongoing medical management, his condition remained in a state of distress. His 2D Echo revealed global LV hypokinesia with an EF of 15-20% and severe MR, while his ECG showed LBBB with a QRS duration of 180 ms. Angiography confirmed normal coronaries. Given his persistent symptoms, we planned for a Cardiac Resynchronization Therapy with Pacemaker (CRT-P). The procedure was successfully performed, and post-CRT-P, his ECG showed significant improvement with a reduced QRS duration of 135 ms. He was discharged with hope and a renewed life ahead. 🌟 1-Month Follow-Up 🌟 During his follow-up visit, the transformation was remarkable. His LVEF improved to 35-40%, and his breathlessness had significantly reduced. What touched our hearts most was his ability to return to the fields—a life he had left behind due to his condition. Despite our advice to avoid heavy work, his passion for farming brought him back to where he belongs, living a quality life like never before. This case highlights the immense satisfaction and joy we, as a team, feel when our patients regain their independence and happiness.
