A boy of preschool age, suspected of aortic arch abnormality on transthoracic echocardiography, underwent CT angiography for a detailed evaluation of cardiovascular morphology. CT angiography found a postductal coarctation with concentric left ventricular hypertrophy. A post-ductal coarctation with concentric left ventricular hypertrophy was discovered by CT angiography. In addition to the left ventricular myocardium being hypertrabeculated, a thin chord-like structure was seen running from the interventricular septum to the left ventricular-free wall and through the left ventricular cavity (figure).
