Type 2 diabetes, cataract...

A 59-year-old man with an 11-year H/O type 2 diabetes on insulin for the past eight years consulted the doctor. He had peripheral neuropathy and cataract. He was a known suspect for glaucoma. On his first visit, the best corrected visual acuity (BCVA) was 20/20 OU. Multiple small intra-retinal haemorrhages and MAs with exudates superotemporally were found Òoculus sinister (OS) as seen in the fundus image (Fig). He began three capsules of multivitamin I containing Vitamin B complex, vitamins C and D, and L-methylfolate for improving eye health daily. In October 2015, the number of retinal haemorrhages and MAs declined OS (Fig. 1b), then he switched from multivitamin II additional containing Vitamin E.
