Dengue, malaria and typhoid are common causes of fever in India, especially during and after the monsoon. They need proper diagnosis with blood tests and close monitoring, because complications can develop quickly.
General Medicine doctors in Delhi
A general physician diagnoses and manages these fevers. An infectious disease specialist helps in complicated cases.
Dengue NS1/antibody tests and platelet count, malaria tests (smear or rapid test), and blood culture or other tests for typhoid, as advised by your doctor.
Paracetamol is generally advised. Avoid aspirin and ibuprofen-type painkillers in suspected dengue unless your doctor says otherwise, as they can increase bleeding risk.
