A 3-year-old child presents with chronic constipation and occasional soiling. The parents report a history of delayed passage of meconium after birth. Upon examination, an abdominal X-ray reveals a significantly dilated colon. The child has struggled with bowel movements since infancy and often appears uncomfortable during defecation.
