A 37-year-old female patient presented with a fever for the past 6 months. Her lab investigations revealed low levels of haemoglobin, RBC, MCV and packed cell volume. Her liver function tests revealed high levels of serum aminotransferase and proteins, and her widal test was positive, indicating typhoid fever. Kindly suggest the appropriate treatment.
