A-3-years-old boy experienced fever for the past 3 days. He also experienced seizure 30 minutes before coming to ER, for less than 2 minutes, the seizure starts with stiffing of the muscle of all the arms and legs, then the arms and the legs begin to jerk rapidly and rhythmically, bending and relaxing at the elbows, hips, and knees, then after about two minutes, the jerking slows and stops. The patient unconscious during the seizure, cries when the seizure stopped. The seizure had stopped without any administration of medicine. It happens once. There is no history of seizure before. Vital signs showed an increased of temperature of 41 C, an increased of heart rate of 130 beats per minute. Respiratory rate and oxygen level were in normal limits. General physical examination within in normal limit. The patient was suspected with simple febrile seizure. He was treated with intravenous paracetamol 180 mg (weight: 18 kg). Diazepam 5 mg per oral three times daily for the first 48 hours was schedule as the preventive therapy.
