A 34-year-old dentist experienced severe sneezing, runny nose, and nasal congestion for six
years. The patient had no family history of allergies or any other medical illness but had
undergone emotional stress. Her symptoms were more severe in the morning, and she woke
up in the middle of the night due to an itchy nose that triggered sneezing. Sneezing lasts
several minutes and is usually accompanied by clear thick nasal discharge. The patient also
faced unilateral nasal congestion, especially while lying flat on their back during bedtime.
Cold temperatures and dusty environments worsened the symptoms. Pet dogs shedding hair
also exacerbated her sneezing. Sneezing and nasal congestion were at their extreme, which
affected her sleep.
