Asymptomatic Hyperpigment...

A 72-year-old female presents with asymptomatic hyperpigmented lesions on the lateral aspect of her left upper thigh. She recently noticed the lesions incidentally and is unsure of their progression. She reports that a portion of the lesion falls off occasionally. Examination reveals a single, well-defined hyperpigmented plaque with variegated surface coloration on the lateral aspect of the left upper thigh. A biopsy has been sent for excision. Differential diagnoses (DDx) are requested.
