A 45-year-old ex-serviceman was reported to the hospital to correct his inguinal hernia. On routine investigation for his surgery, on chest X-ray, he was found to have a soft tissue density mass abutting the pleura in the anterior aspect of the right lower lobe. He underwent CT examination revealed anteriorly located pleural-based opacity with broncho vascular markings converging to it, as shown in the figure. He was diagnosed with a case of rounded atelectasis and was treated conservatively. A follow-up CT scan after three months suggested persistence of the lesion without an increase in size.
