A 24yr old female is suffering from Breast Mastitis and Pus Discharge from Only Right Breast. Suggest a suitable therapy.

Take pus swab for culture & sesitivity while awaiting the result start on a broad spectrum antibiotic which is safe for lactation . Since it is multiliculated I & D is preferred to break all locales & drain the Pts & do a daily dressing with betadine & H2O2 . Analgesic & enzymes should be prescribed . She May continue to feed the baby from the other side & manually express the milk on the abscess side . Follow up with culture report & change antibiotics as per the sensitivity.
