Chest pain

A 38-year-old guy who worked as a cardiologist presented with sudden, significant chest pain. He had never experienced gastric reflux, lung illness, hypertension, diabetes, or coronary heart disease. He has taken two ascorbic acid pills the night before the onset of chest pain (100 mg per pill; an acidic material with a diameter of 7 mm and a thickness of 2 mm). Due to ascorbic acid's alleged antioxidant and health-promoting properties, the patient was taking it. After an endoscopy, a single, round, non-bleeding ulcer measuring 0.3 cm was found at the lower end of the oesophagus, around 35 cm from the incisors. (Figure).
