A 35-year-old male presented with symptoms of nasal congestion, tiredness, and feeling achy, which started two days ago. He complained of a thick yellow nasal discharge, low-grade fever, a non-productive cough, and mild headache. The patient had a history of seasonal allergies and occasional colds, but otherwise, he was healthy and without medications. On physical examination, the patient's vital signs were within normal limits and mild swelling of the nasal mucosa was observed. There was no sinus tenderness, and his lungs were clear to auscultation.
