Hair loss

A 58-year-old woman was referred to the clinic due to hair loss, and thinning. Three to four years ago, the patient initially recognised the issue. It started in the middle of her scalp and has been spreading. She recalls using hot combs and braiding in the past but cannot recollect a specific period. Her medical background indicates that she has hypertension. Upon physical inspection, the scalp is glossy with noticeable hair thinning and loss, primarily in the crown and periphery. There are no hair follicles to be found.
