A male patient, aged 38, has presented with longitudinal ridges on all ten digits and soft nails. There is also a mild spoon-shaped depression present. The great toes are discolored and have ridges, but the remaining toe nails are not affected. The patient has a history of hypothyroidism, extensive alopecia areata, and deficiencies in vitamins D and B12. The patient's sibling has diabetes, and the patient is concerned about the condition of their nails. Scrapings have not yet been taken.
