An 11-year-old girl comes in with her parents for an examination of left knee pain. The patient shows knee effusion on physical examination. Palpation of the tibial tubercle on the left knee reveals tenderness. Figures 1 and 2 show anteroposterior and lateral radiographs and was treated with NSAIDs, rest and quadriceps stretching.
