 A 38-year-old gentleman presents to the emergency room in Mumbai with complaints of Fever, chills, and myalgia developed on May 16 2022, and a vesicular rash on his hand developed the next day and progressively increased in count. After symptoms developed, he remained in his hotel room most of the time. He sought medical attention on May 20; an ambulance transported him to a leading Hospital. 

His detailed history is significant for travel to multiple countries. He is a foreign national from Nigeria who had traveled to the UK before arriving in India. The man resided in Delta State, Nigeria, and had attended a wedding on April 28 2022, where he reported ingestion of barbecued bushmeat that might have been contaminated. He did not handle raw meat and had no exposure to wild animals or their products. He held an administrative job and reported no contact with rodents or with persons with pox-like illnesses.  The man travelled to the UK and stayed there with friends in London for 3 days before travelling to India on May 12 2022. He attended a business workshop on May 14-15 at Hotel Lalit.

At examination in the emergency department, the patient had a fever of 37.7°C. He had multiple pustular lesions of varying stages over his trunk, and limbs, including palms and soles. There was no oral involvement. Cervical and inguinal lymphadenopathy were present.
