7-year-old girl who was admitted to the hospital with generalised stomach pain, primarily in the epigastrium, presented. She also lamented experiencing early satiety. In addition, she denies having dysphagia or odynophagia—neither a changed bowel pattern nor a family history of cancer. Further research revealed that the child has been eating her hair since she was a year old. She had a soft, not enlarged, abdomen. At the epigastrium, a sizable, solid mass was movable. Dullness was shown by percussion over the mass. A radiopaque lump was visible on an abdominal X-ray (Figure 1) inside the stomach. A subsequent ultrasound of the abdomen (Figure 2) revealed a roughly 6.1 cm-long echogenic mass with a solid acoustic shadow that obscured the posterior structures of the stomach area.
