Tumour on the scalp

A 21-year-old man arrives at the clinic presented with a tumour on his scalp removed. He asserts that the lesion has steadily grown in size over time and that he thinks it has been there since birth. Because of the lesion's size, hair combing frequently traumatizes it; otherwise, the lesion is asymptomatic. He is not on medications and is in good health. Upon physical examination, a 1.4-cm hard, flesh-coloured plaque is discovered. There are no other lesions of this type reported.
