A 15% Trichloroacetic Acid + 3% Glycolic Acid Chemical Peel Series Improves Appearance of Hand Lentigines

A study examined the effectiveness of a 15% trichloroacetic acid (TCA) + 3% glycolic acid (GA) combination peel in reducing the appearance of hand lentigines. 18 out of 20 patients completed the study, with a mean age of 64.4 years. The treatment yielded significant improvement in hand lentigines, according to both physicians and patients. Blinded evaluators identified the after-treatment photos accurately in 88% of cases. Pain scores averaged 3.8 out of 10. No adverse events were reported. The study concludes that a series of three peels of this combination is effective and safe for treating hand lentigines.
