A 2‐week high‐intensity interval training intervention improves ejaculation control among men with premature ejaculation

This study aimed to examine the effects of high-intensity interval training (HIIT) on premature ejaculation (PE) symptoms. A total of 92 Chinese men participated, with 22 diagnosed with PE and 70 with normal ejaculatory function. The HIIT group completed exercise sessions every morning for 14 days, while the control group did not engage in HIIT. The results showed that HIIT effectively alleviated PE symptoms in men with PE, particularly for those who experienced a higher increase in heart rate during the intervention. However, HIIT did not reduce PE symptoms in men with normal ejaculatory function. Furthermore, the HIIT intervention improved body image satisfaction, including sexual body image, in men with PE. In conclusion, HIIT may be a beneficial intervention for reducing PE symptoms in men with PE, with heart rate increase playing a role in its effectiveness.
