This systematic review evaluated the impact of androgen receptor signaling inhibitors (ARSIs) on health-related quality of life (HR-QoL) in patients with metastatic hormone-sensitive prostate cancer (mHSPC). Six randomized controlled trials (RCTs) were included in the analysis, and validated patient-reported outcome instruments were used to evaluate HR-QoL. The results indicated that the addition of ARSIs to androgen deprivation therapy (ADT) tended to increase overall HR-QoL and prolong time to first deterioration of pain/fatigue compared to ADT alone, ADT with first generation nonsteroidal anti-androgens, and ADT with docetaxel. However, ARSIs showed a complex interaction with remaining HR-QoL domains, and standardization of HR-QoL measurement .
