The study introduces a validated French version of the Clinical Anxiety Scale (CAS), a crucial diagnostic tool for anxiety disorders. Derived from the Hamilton Anxiety Scale, the CAS underwent meticulous translation and testing, demonstrating excellent internal consistency (Cronbach’s alpha 0.97), high convergent validity with the French General Anxiety Disorder-7 (GAD-7) scale (Pearson’s R 0.81, p < 0.001), and robust test-retest reliability (ICC = 0.97). This advancement holds promise for accurate anxiety assessments among French-speaking healthcare professionals and warrants further exploration across diverse populations.
