This study aimed to compare the diagnostic outcomes of 3D-CBCT sialography and ultrasonography (US) in detecting sialolithiasis, ductal dilatation, and ductal stenosis. The retrospective study was conducted on 157 patients who underwent both imaging modalities for salivary symptoms. 3D-CBCT sialography detected ductal lesions in more patients than US, with higher sensitivity and negative predictive value. However, US remains the preferred first-line examination for salivary lesions. 3D-CBCT sialography can be used as an alternative in case of inconclusive US and prior to any endoscopic procedure.

In nine patients with severe, treatment-refractory MMP, tocilizumab reduced mean disease activity scores from 14.8 to 4.2. At final evaluation, 78% achieved partial remission and 11% complete remission.
