A recent study sheds light on the challenges faced by families of children with medical complexity (MC) during COVID-19. The study, which involved 16 parents and their children aged 0-18, highlighted key areas for improving health and social services for these families. Firstly, parents stressed enhancing digital communication tools for easier service access and scheduling. Virtual platforms were also valuable for fostering connections with other families and communities. Secondly, the importance of family-centered care was emphasized, urging policies that recognize these families' physical, emotional, and financial needs. These findings hold significant implications for improving MC children's and their families' well-being.
