
In a recent study, the Yakebot dental implant robotic system (YDIRS) was pitted against fully guided static computer-assisted implant surgery (CAIS) templates in edentulous implantation. The results revealed a clear winner. Out of 84 implants placed, the robotic group demonstrated superior precision with mean deviations (0.65 mm) at the implant platform, 0.65 mm at the apex, 0.49 mm in depth, and 1.43° in angle. In contrast, the CAIS group exhibited higher deviations of 1.37 mm, 1.28 mm, 0.88 mm, and 3.47°, respectively. This study underscores the promise of the YDIRS for safer and more accurate implant placement in clinical practice.
