A novel adaptive Inner EAR scale improves hearing loss assessment. A study of 2200 participants validated its accuracy, with strong internal consistency (Cronbach’s α = 0.91) and significant correlations with audiometry (rho = 0.30) and PROMIS scores. The scale showed high intra-rater reliability (κ = 0.6) and responsiveness to change, outperforming static testing. This adaptive tool offers a more precise, efficient method for patient-centered hearing evaluation.
