The biomechanical study on human medial menisci found that ASA repair provided stronger fixation, greater stiffness, and lower cyclic displacement compared to conventional TPOR techniques. After 100,000 load cycles, ASA repair maintained near-native meniscal stabilization, while TPORs became loose. Despite improvements, all repair techniques had lower ultimate strength than the native meniscus.
