A meta-analysis of 15 studies involving 1,475,389 pregnant women explored the link between a history of recurrent spontaneous abortion (RSA) and adverse outcomes in spontaneous conceptions. The study found associations between RSA and increased risks of gestational diabetes, preeclampsia, placenta previa, placental abruption, miscarriage, preterm birth, cesarean section, perinatal death, and neonatal intensive care unit admission. However, no associations were observed with gestational hypertension, small for gestational age, fetal anomalies, fetal growth restriction, and postpartum hemorrhage.
