Age played a significant role, with a 17.5% re-intervention rate in those <45 years and 7.7% in those ≥45 years. Younger patients with hypo- or iso-intensive fibroids faced increased risk (OR 2.96, CI 1.37–6.62; P = 0.007), while anemia elevated the risk for re-intervention in older patients (OR 3.30, CI 1.01–10.37; P = 0.041).
