Recurrent respiratory papillomatosis (RRP) is a benign neoplasm caused by HPV infection that often reduces the quality of life and requires repeated operations. Adjuvant bevacizumab, a monoclonal antibody targeting vascular endothelial growth factor A, has shown efficacy and safety in previous case reports. This study reports on five patients with aggressive RRP treated with adjuvant systemic bevacizumab in a single Belgian tertiary center. A complete response was achieved in four patients and a partial response in one. The number of surgeries was reduced, and quality of life improved in all cases, with manageable toxicity. The study suggests that systemic bevacizumab may be an effective and safe adjuvant treatment for aggressive RRP.
