A study suggested that endoscopic sinus surgery (ESS) showed positive results for all chronic rhinosinusitis (CRS) endotypes. Researchers examined mucous inflammatory cytokine expression in 115 CRS patients, revealing favorable responses across clusters. Notably, the type 2 inflammatory group exhibited the highest improvement in patient-reported and clinical measures post-ESS. However, all endotype clusters showed enhancements without significant differences.
