Analysis of the phosphoproteome in human dental follicle cells during osteogenic differentiation

A recent investigation of dental follicle cells (DFCs) has shed light on their pivotal role in the differentiation of alveolar osteoblasts. This study honed in on the mid-phase (14 days) and examined the phosphoproteome. The study results indicate significant regulation of signal transduction proteins, cytoskeleton regulators, and apoptosis-related proteins during this phase. Notably, the study also observed an upregulation of catalase, an oxidative stress defence protein, supporting DFC biomineralization. This analysis illuminates the intricate molecular processes governing DFC organization, apoptosis, and oxidative stress during osteogenic differentiation.
